Boyne Park Incident |
||
|
At approximately 2:00pm on Saturday 17 October 2026, Police were called to an address in Boyne Park, Tunbridge Wells, following a report from a member of the public who was carrying out renovation work at the property. The informant believed they had discovered what appeared to be a World War II bomb shell. Officers attended the scene and, as a precaution, the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was deployed. Following an assessment by the EOD team, it was established that the item was an empty shell and posed no risk to the public. There was therefore no cause for concern. We would like to thank local residents for their patience and cooperation with officers while the incident was dealt with safely. | ||
